The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

This specific req will be to fill the role of Product Line Manager for Broad Band Plasma products. The PLM will be supported by a field marketing team.
GSS has segmented the service market into 3 distinct segments. NPI, Volume and Mature.
This position will be to fulfill a dual function in the KT Pro Division of GSS.
The mature market consists of all the product lines that have been transferred to phase 7 and are part of the KT Pro port-folio of products which are as follows: Systems (KTC refurbs and upgrades, Enhancements and Service.
The mature market is growing due to increased shipments of systems and enhancements (IOT and other market forces). But the service component is declining year over year.
The KT Pro Marketing organization will implement what is called Product Line Management in order to determine the best way to optimize the resources that GSS invests in a product family in order to maximize the ROI.

The Product Line Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Run the Product Family PLC Meeting - Prioritization the product family needs for Service, Systems and Enhancements and make decisions with GSS stakeholders on what product initiatives to pursue
  • Depending on the project type, a PLC process may be required and in that case the PLC manager must drive the PLC process dates, define the stakeholders deliverables and coordinate the phase exits according to the project schedule
  • The Product Line manager must manage Program Resources (people, tools, budgets) in a way that maximizes GSS ROI, but also balances other needs of the business like Cost of Service Reduction, Quality initiatives and customer satisfaction
  • The Product line manager will own the Product family roadmap and as such will be required to create the MRD for the products, Define the TAM and SAM forecast for a new offering, do Competitive analysis and product pricing. All the traditional Product Marketing roles, but with the Program management elements added
  • At a higher level, they will Define KT's target and growth objective for the product family, including the formulating plans to create new systems and service offerings for the product line in the market
  • Excellent Program management capabilities are a must. Knowledge of KT PLC process is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a highly complex environment where decision need to be made to trade off multiple factors simultaneously with limited information
  • Ability to compare and contrast apples and oranges and to develop processes and BKM that do not exist today
  • Capability to take on an assignment or handle a situation where there is no precedent on how to handle it and drive consensus across a cross-functional team on what decision to make
  • Excellent cross-functional management skills to enable the KT Pro PLM process of scale across all organizations
Good business acumen and the ability to learn the key concepts of Product Marketing:
  • TAM measurement / SAM Forecasting / PSA strategies / Value Selling / ROI calculation
  • Analytical skills are critical. Ability to analyze data to illustrate your opportunity or challenge
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of KT's PLC process highly desirable and experience leading cross-functional teams. Experience creating new business practices for newly defined market segments highly desirable
  • Knowledge of BBP products is high desirable: 23XX, 28XX, 29XX. Previous product marketing or applications experience is very beneficial
  • Great verbal and written communication skills - especially with MS PPT
  • Good systems engineering knowledge of tool function and application in the customer space
  • Semi-conductor process or equipment business knowledge, especially in both systems products and service products
  • Ability to manage cross functionally and run PLC teams
  • Knowledge of Broad Band Plasma inspection products from KT
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
Master's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
