Business Unit:
The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production.

Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Technical Director (TD) reports to the head of Customer Engagement for the Patterning Solutions group. The TD is responsible for understanding key customer’s roadmap and challenges. This individual will manage and lead a team of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers
  • The TD should be able to have technical discussions and build relationships with senior technical personal at customers (at a level of Section / Department Managers and higher)
  • The TD should know about wafer fab processes and KLA-Tencor product portfolio with the goal of mapping customer challenges to our solutions
  • The TD is responsible for arranging and driving all Technical Review Meetings with the customer (usually once a quarter)
  • He/She would be responsible for driving his/her team to execute on the strategic plans laid out for the year
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree with 8+ years of experience in developing solutions for advanced fab operations (14nm/10nm/7nm)
  • 3 years of experience managing and leading a team of engineers
  • Requires in depth knowledge of advanced fab operations
  • Excellent communicator and technical collaborator with proven experience working closely with partners on identifying and driving technology solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 12 years of experience
Master's Level Degree with at least 10 years of experience
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 8 years of experience
