Business Unit:
We’re looking for a hard working individual with a positive attitude to contribute to a great Finance team. In this Division Controller role you are responsible for a full P&L of a 400M a year Laser Scanner and SWIFT business unit. Our charter is to understand and influence the business in making the right trade-offs and pro-actively find efficiencies. The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple levels of a dynamic business unit and has the opportunity to affect KLA-Tencor’s overall long term financial performance. This role offers significant exposure to senior managers and has the opportunity to drive company-wide projects and initiatives in the areas of reporting, planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • The Division Controller is responsible for coordinating and providing finance support for the Business Unit General Manager.
  • This position works cross-functionally with other teams including Engineering, Applications, Sales, Operations, Marketing.
  • Support annual strategic planning and budgeting process and understanding long term Engineering development roadmaps.
  • Responsible for understanding changes in Manufacturing activities for the Division. Including Headcount planning, production capacity, inventory controls.
  • Responsible for understanding changes in Cost of service for the Division. Including spending on installation and cost of service
  • Manage 100M annual Operating Expense budget and on a quarterly basis drive spend vs target alignment.
  • Own quarter end close process for the business, including variance analysis of actual to forecasts, balance sheet review and reconciliations.
  • Manage and develop a highly dedicated finance team, Revenue and OPEX analysts
  • Understanding of customer deals and analysis of sales trends including product transitions
  • Review and improve financial and business models to provide the business additional insight to make decisions on improving the business.
  • Lead process improvement projects.
  • Partner with senior organizational leaders to understand business requirements, investment needs, and to develop an excellent understanding of cost drivers and P&Ls for his/her respective groups.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting with minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience (with emphasis on accounting, forecasting and financial analysis)
  • Must be hard working, has a positive attitude and willingly contribute to a team.
  • Has the ability to create, multi-task and be flexible to multiple requests in a time sensitive manner.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and be flexible to constant change.
  • Has a strong sense of ownership of the responsibilities and be self-motivated
  • Openness to learning and looking for ways to improve.
  • Comfortable with reaching out to others and working with different levels and parts of an organization.
  • Independent and critical thinker, analytical, fast learner and excellent eye for detail
  • Proficient in SAP/TM1 and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
OR
Master's Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
