The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.
Work with metrology systems engineers to develop detailed written specifications for motion control subsystems. Own the selection process for new motion subsystems, working closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to develop requirements for each group. Create test plans to qualify and characterize new subsystems, perform the testing and hold reviews to share the test results with other functional engineering groups.
Define wafer choreography and automation sequences for new products. Create flow charts and timing diagrams to design highly reliable, high speed automated routines to accomplish desired metrology tasks. Evaluate Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) of the new systems to anticipate and mitigate machine failures during the design process.
Create models of systematic errors in complex motion control assemblies. Develop strategies to minimize and corrector for systematic errors. Write requirements and work closely with the software team to implement and validate the code and methodology to correct for these errors.
Specify and perform characterization of vibration and temperature control systems.
Support manufacturing and field service escalations related to the automation subsystems during the introduction of new products.
- Demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills in engineering or the physical sciences
- Hands on lab or manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude
- Able to define objectives clearly, create and track schedules effectively, and drive a team to a solution.
- Familiarity with scientific and statistical analysis software tools such as Matlab and JMP and / or programming languages like C# or Python
- Good communicator with good troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and robotics is desirable
- Proven ability to take functional requirements and create detailed flow down requirements for motion systems and factory automation
MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years work experience in Semiconductor equipment.
BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years work experience in Semiconductor equipment.
