Business Unit:
The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers.  The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems.  These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes.  The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs.  The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.

Responsibilities:
The optics design engineer will join Advanced Measurement technology team that is responsible for developing next-generation design of metrology tools. He/she will propose, analyze, tolerance, and evaluate optical designs, components, vendors, and performance metrics. The engineer will have ownership of optical engineering reviews, identifying and managing key vendors, and will interface with other groups (systems, mechanical engineering, etc.). He/she will also generate intellectual property protecting new designs and will be able to work either alone or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D or M.S. in Optics, Physics, or Engineering
  • Expert-level knowledge of ZEMAX and/or Code V
  • Proven ability to develop optical products from the concept phase into production
  • Ability to verify own designs in the lab or on the tool

Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree plus 5 years’ experience
OR
Master's degree plus 4 years’ experience
OR
Ph.D. degree with at least 2 years’ experience
