Business Unit:
The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.
1) Work within a small group of dedicated individuals to develop and improve an application that is at the core of physical modeling capabilities of a line of semiconductor film measurement systems.
2) Work on problems that influence the design and success of current products or addresses broad design issues of future products or technologies. Tasks include developing problem statements, analysis of various solutions, implementing solutions at software level, testing prototypes, and supporting integration into product software.
3) The responsibilities include development of new numeric methods and algorithms for data processing, physical optical modeling and numeric regression, implementing the algorithms in C++, supporting other groups in adopting new features and participate in troubleshooting.   

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Proven ability to solve complex and challenging physics or engineering problems in academic or industrial setting
2) 5+ years of experience in C++ and object oriented design;
3) Ability to work with other scientists and engineers to develop problem statements, requirements and solutions;
4) Experience in any of the following areas: computational physics, scientific programming, numeric methods, algorithm design, and data processing;
5) Background in physical optics or metrology is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate (Academic) Level Degree in Physics, Computational Physics or Applied Mathematics with at least 4 years of experience
Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
Proficiency in C++ and object oriented design, with at least 2 years of experience.
