Position: EDA Software EngineerLocation: Milpitas, CA

Job Description:
Business Unit:
The Wafer Inspection Division (WIN) is the world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical inspection tools for inline monitoring of process defects in advanced semiconductor factories.
 
Responsibilities:
Requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing of system control software for next generation optical and eBeam tools.  This includes documenting the requirements and design, implementing the design and seeing the documents and code through peer review.  Candidate will also be responsible for system integration and testing of software, firmware and hardware related to the features being developed.
 
The candidate will be responsible for applications written in Java, C++, C# and Python, and these applications are generally multi-threaded and distributed across Windows and Linux computers
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Required:
1) Excellent communication and collaboration skills
2) Experience with object oriented software development
3) Experience with robotics or cluster computing architectures

Preferred:
1) Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipement
2) Familiarity with physical chip design formats (eg. GDS or OASIS)
3) Familiarity with EDA phyisical verification tools (eg. Cadence PVS or Mentor Calibre)
4) Familiarity with Linux, ClearCase, Java, C++, C#, Python, RMI, CORBA, image processing.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate (Academic)
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
