Electrical Design Engineer (High voltage power supply | low noise| UV laser) (#112450)

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time

Business Unit:

KLA-Tencor’s Wafer Inspection Group (WIG) designs and builds multiple products and systems related to defect inspection. This person will be a part of an engineering team that works on hardware solutions for multiple products across the WIG organization.

Responsibility:

The candidate will be working in the electrical design group to develop, integrate and sustain electronic hardware for eBeam tools.  He/She will be part of the hardware engineering team and work closely with other engineers (Analog and Digital EE’s, and hardware, firmware, software and mechanical engineers) to design and develop electronics hardware.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS/PhD)
  • Strong capability to analyze problems and apply advanced problem solving skills to address complicated integration issues
  • Good analog and mixed-circuit analysis and simulation experience
  • Strong experienced in prototype development with proven ability to debug and test PCB assemblies
  • Understand general basic electrical knowledge
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good experience in developing semiconductor industry equipment or related systems
  • Strong experience with high voltage, low noise applications is a plus
  • Good experience in debugging/troubleshooting system level noise preferred
  • Experience with Digital, FPGA or microprocessor hardware and firmware design is a plus

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of directly related experience
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of directly related experience
OR 
Doctorate Level Degree with at least 2 years of directly related experience
