Job Description:
Primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the deliverables of the Finance Offshore team (approximately 30 heads) residing in Chennai, India. Apart from supporting various back office Finance activities of the US Operations, the offshore team also supports company entities in Singapore, Germany, Belgium, Hong Kong and Israel in selected Finance activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capability in all of the following areas:
-Strong technical skills in revenue recognition including contract review and compliance with US GAAP
-Hands on work experience preferred in supporting cost accounting function in a manufacturing environment
-Assist with identifying new outsourcing opportunities, and if approved, manage their transition successfully
-Assist integration team on all "new acquisitions" with transitioning selected processes to the offshore team
-Work closely with both the offshore and IT teams to enable process improvements & defect resolutions
-Superior project management skills required with ability to work on multiple projects in different time zones
-Ability to work on cross-functional teams to improve and drive process efficiency & effectiveness
-Ability to effectively communicate across functions, jurisdictions, time zones and all levels of management
-Sound technical accounting and problem solving skills, well organized and attention to detail
-Become a resident expert on all Finance policies and processes that have been outsourced
-Ability to build strong working relationships with the offshore team and successfully guide them in completion of their deliverables on a timely fashion.
Qualifications/Education Desired:
Ideal candidate must be a CPA and/or MBA with 6+ years of experience and strong systems skills. Knowledge of SAP (R3), Business Warehouse and MS Office is required. Candidate should be highly motivated, self driven, team player and work under minimum supervision. Quarterly overseas travel to the offshore center is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
OR
Masters Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
